Nic’s Button Buds was launched in 2010 while Nicole was planning her own wedding.

With a strong family history in the world of creative craftiness, Nicole took great pride in designing many of the special aspects of her big day. When she discovered the idea of button bouquets, she added her own flourishes and inspiration and crafted a bouquet that captured the attention of all her wedding guests.

The first bouquet took many, many hours of work, but, once Nicole made one, she just couldn’t stop…and her new business was born.

Since then, Nicole has expanded her range to include a diverse range of alternative bouquets (button bouquets, brooch bouquets and mixed faux flower & button bouquets), as well as various wedding accessories.

Nicole has since expanded the business, enlisting the additional talents of her friend Christen (also known as Crispy), who assists mainly with order preparation, best friends Kerrie & Nathan and of course her mum, Marlene, who helps out with detailed hand-sewing requirements.  Nicole’s husband Chris even helps out by cutting wire and handles for the bouquets.

The success of Nic’s Button Buds has been driven by Nicole’s attention to detail and long professional history in customer service.

What you might not know about this crafty dynamo is that Nicole combines her passion for pretty things with a love of cars (she drives a SSV Redline Wagon and has owned WRX’s in the past) which she sometimes races – unsuccessfully – and enjoys watching the V8 Supercars)  Nicole also works a full time job out of the home in customer service and has a love of animals. With her husband, Chris, her home is shared with 3 dogs and 2 cats and a horse as well as regularly hosting a variety international guests through Helpx & Workaway.

Nic’s Button Buds is a home-based business, although the bulk of communication is enjoyed via the convenience of email, you are also very welcome to make an appointment and visit her in-home studio.
