Kelly & Matthew

Married 15th February 2014

An Interview with Bride, Kelly

The wedding was planned over 18months    It was extra hard as Matthew was still living in Townsville at this time with me in Melbourne (we met in Canada in 2010 on student exchange), so It was mum and I doing a lot of looking then sending photo’s to Matthew. It definitely Made it extra stressful.

Location: Melbourne, Victoria

Ceremony:  The Little White Chapel, South Morang

Reception:  Watsonia R.S.L     (ties in with Matthew being in the Reserves)

Favourite Memory/ Moment of the Day: Seeing Matthew at the alter as I walked into the Chapel

Funny Quotes:  Not really a quote but in Dad’s speech he said he can’t return me an any day that ends in ‘Y’, Matthew’s quick reply was “I’ll return her tomorrow then”

Advice for those getting married:  Take time out to stop thinking about the day all together, as planning can be quite stressful you need to take a break from it. And make sure you put your foot down if you’re aren’t happy with something (bring out Bridezilla if you have to), it is YOUR day, not any one else’s!! You can listen to their opinions but don’t need to do anything about it!

Artifical Flowers & Brooches

Why did I choose Nics button buds?:  Our wedding day was straight after Valentine’s Day so hardly any florist would even talk to me or return my emails. Then I decided that if I was going to spend money then I wanted it to last forever, not just in memories/photos. I saw photo’s of flowers on Nic’s Button Buds Facebook page and loved them!

Note From Nic:

Kelly was a lovely local bride who i had the pleasure of meeting in person a few times.  She was amazing to work with (and calm, which is thankful as i had to admin i made a error on her order, which was rectified as soon as we both realised, but i have to thank Kelly for being so calm, cool and collected the whole time)

Kelly had a Deluxe Mixed Media bouquet in Purple with white highlights and a custom button in the centre.  Her bridesmaids carried standard mixed mixed bouquets but in a small size. All were finished with Orchid Leaves. The boys all wore Deluxe Mixed Media Buttonholes and Kelly purchased a Button Wrist corsage for her mum and a brooch wrist cuff for her mother in law.  Kelly’s bouquet has some cute personalisations such as a rhinestone K & M, a custom button with their names and wedding date, a paw print and some cute star wars charms.
